‘Arunodoyer Pothe’, a street drama was staged on Sunday at Bangla Mancha of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia. IU Theatre troupe staged the drama based on ‘Arunodoyer Pothe’ written by dramatist Salil Chawdhury.
IU Theatre troupe joint secretary Badrul Alam Pias conducted the show while theatre troupe member Abir acted as an Officer, Hasem and Mahbub acted as a first and second constable in the play. Piash acted as a baul on the stage.
IU theatre troupe president Abdul Momen Nahid, general secretary Rezwan Ahmed and more than one hundred students participated in the show.
The play was written in the backdrop of British writer Lady Gregory of the anti-British movement the ‘At the Rising of the Moon’.
