Police are looking for Popular rock singer Mila. The court has ordered to arrest her for the case of throwing acid on ex-husband. Kim John Peter Haldar has also been ordered to get arrest as he was Mila’s partner in crime in this. They have been on bail for so long in this case. The district judge of the Dhaka Acid Suppression Tribunal passed the order on Thursday for not appearing in the case.
Regarding the matter, Pallabi Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Wazed Ali said, a search warrant was filed against Mila and Kim. On Thursday night they have also searched Mila Mirpur house, but she is still out of reach. Hopefully, we will be able to arrest them soon and hand them over to the court.
On June 2, 2019, singer Mila and Kim were accused into the case of throwing acid on her ex-husband that the CID investigated the whole matter. Then on December 30, 2020, CID has filed a charge sheet in the court. Later on, January 28, the Dhaka Acid Suppression Tribunal issued an arrest warrant against both the accused and a fugitive warrant as they were absconding.
The warrant issued by the court on February 9 reached Pallabi police station. Since then, Pallabi police have been searching for accused Mila and her accomplice Kim. They could not be apprehended despite several searches of their residences and possible locations. The family claims they have no idea where they are.
Kim was arrested in July 2019 from a house in Dhaka Cantonment and went to jail. Later on, he did not appear in court on bail. On the other hand, Mila is main accused in this case but She has never faced court before. Mila’s phone number was unreachable when tried to contact.
