In protest against the forcible occupation of the land of Freedom Fighter Mohiuddin by some miscreants allegedly in collusion with the Officer-in-charge of Kasiadanga Police Station, a human chain programme was observed Rajshahi Press club premises at Shaheb Bazaar zero point from 11-00 am to 12-00 noon on Monday.
Organised by renowned public leader Ataur Rahman Memorial Association, the human chain programme was attended, among others by, a life member of Rajshahi Press Club Prasanta Kumar Saha as the chief guest.
Presided over by Saidur Rahman, President of Rajshahi Press Club, the human chain programme was attended, among others, by the President of Sector Commanders' Forum of FFs Shahjahan Ali Borjahan, FF Anwar Iqbal Badal, JP leader ShalahUddin Mintu, Waliur Rahman Babu and Khokon Uzzaman. Asadul Haque Dukhu, Shariful Islam Sharif and member of FF Mohiuddin family Bably Begum.
Speakers at the human chain warned the conspirators and demanded immediate arrest of the land grabbers of FF Mohiuddin and exemplary punishment of the ally of the land grabber, Officer-in-charge of the Kasiadanga Police station.
They also warned of a stern programme next time if their demands are not realised within a short time.
It is learnt, the police of Kasiadanga Police station arrested Engineer Rabbi, son of FF Mohiuddin of Motihar area in a fabricated case and sent him to jail and occupied the land of Mohiuddin by erecting boundary wall surrounding the land in presence of police which has created vehement protests from the conscious people and the FFs of Rajshahi.
