Around 2.58 lakh students, including 1.62 lakh females, are going to appear in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Rajshahi this year. They will appear in the public examinations from 2,678 institutions in 265 centres in all eight districts under Rajshahi board scheduled to be held from April 30 like other education boards in the country.
BISE, Rajshahi sources said 91,557 students will appear in the examinations from science group, while 1,07,835 from humanity and 6,410 from commerce this year.
Ariful Islam, Controller of Examinations of the board, said they have already completed necessary preparations for holding the examinations successfully.
Vigilance teams were formed side by side with the respective district and upazila administrations for peaceful examinations.
