The Ramu Cantonment of the Bangladesh Army has provided free medical aid to the local helpless and distressed people. A team of specialist doctors from Ramu Cantonment distributed spectacles to about 600 patients with eye diseases including free medical services and essential medicines through a day-long medical campaign at the Government High School ground in Gorjonia Union, Ramu Upazila, Cox's Bazar on Thursday . GOC, 10 Infantry Division and Area Commander Cox's Bazar Area Major General Md. Fakhrul Ahsan inspected the activities of BSP, NDU, PSC Medical Camp. Military and civilian officials and local dignitaries were present.
It is to be noted that under the direction of the Chief of Army Staff, the Army is conducting various public works including distribution of winter clothes and relief to the helpless and distressed people of the area during the winter season and providing free medical services.
Such public service activities of the army are playing a special role in protecting the poor and helpless people from the onset of winter.
