Army provides free healthcare to pregnant mothers in Ramu

On the occasion of the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the 10th Infantry Division of the Bangladesh Army has organized a free medical campaign to provide health services to pregnant mothers at Ramu in Cox's Bazar.

A team of skilled and expert doctors from the Army conducted the medical campaign on the premises of Alhaj Fazal Ambia High School in Rajarkul Union, Ramu on Wednesday morning.

The medical camp conducts general health check-up for pregnant women from morning till day maintaining social distance and following hygienic rules. 

The medical team also carries out various tests in the temporary lab in order to know the health condition of the pregnant mothers. Alhaj Saimum Sarwar Kamal, MP of Ramu Cox's Bazar 03 constituency and senior army officials were present at that time.

BSS adds, army members of also provided health services free of costs to 200 pregnant mothers and 110 newborn babies at a medical camp arranged at Gangachara Degree College in Gangachara upazila of Rangpur on Tuesday.

Under management of the 66 Infantry Division and 72 Infantry Brigade of Rangpur Area of Bangladesh Army and supervision of Commanding Officer of 9 Engineer Battalion Mohammad Tariqul Alam, Major Md. Raihanuzzaman conducted the medical camp. 

Brigade Commander of the 72 Infantry Brigade Brigadier General Aung Chaw Sa Maung visited the medical camp and inspected the health service providing activities to the pregnant mothers and newborn babies.
