Army Chief visits 66 Infantry Division in Rangpur

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman visited the 66 Infantry Division and Rangpur Area on Thursday. During his visit, the Army Chief addressed soldiers of all ranks at Rangpur Cantonment, where he delivered a speech offering guidance and directives.

As part of his visit, General Waker-uz-Zaman also laid the foundation stone for the Army Medical College in Rangpur.Following this, the Army Chief conducted a session titled ‘Officers’ Address,’ where he spoke directly to the officers. 

At the outset of his speech, he expressed his heartfelt sorrow over the death of Lieutenant Tanzim Sarwar Nirjan, offering condolences to his family. 

He acknowledged the young officer’s sacrifice in the service of the nation, noting that the Bangladesh Army will always remember his courage with deep respect and pride.

In his remarks, General Waker-uz-Zaman also discussed the country’s current security situation, offering further directives on the army’s role and responsibilities in maintaining stability.
