A meeting of the Committee on Approach Road Management of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel has been held. The meeting was held at the headquarters of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Lines in Dampara on Tuesday afternoon.
The meeting was presided over by CMP Commissioner and Chairman of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel Approach Road Management Committee Saleh Mohammad Tanvir.
Officials said that various important decisions were taken by various government agencies regarding the management of vehicles on the entrances and exits of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel.
The decision was taken regarding the construction and management of uninterrupted wide roads considering the crowded and import-export oriented companies like Parki Beach, Kafco and others located on the Anwara side and EPZ, Bay-Terminal, Patenga Sea Beach, Naval Beach located on the Patenga side of the tunnel.The traffic on these roads will be free from uninterrupted traffic jams in the future.
