The Department of Political Science at Dhaka University has announced admissions for the Professional Master in Governance Studies (PMGS) program for the 2023-2025 academic session. Aspiring candidates can apply for the first semester of the 16th batch, with the program spanning one and a half years and designed for professionals. Classes are conveniently scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays to accommodate working students.
Admission Requirements
To qualify, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field. Additionally, a minimum of a second class, division, or CGPA of 2.50 in all public exams, including graduation, is mandatory. Both government and private sector employees are encouraged to apply, as the program offers valuable insights for professionals in governance and administration.
Application Process
Interested candidates can collect application forms and related documents from the Department of Political Science, located in Room 410 of the Faculty of Social Sciences Building at Dhaka University. Forms are available between 9 am and 5 pm from Saturday to Thursday, and from 3 pm to 8 pm on Fridays. The last date to collect and submit the form is November 7, 2024, with a fee of 1,500 taka.
Admission Test
The admission test will take place on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 3 pm. This test will determine candidates' suitability for the program and is a key part of the selection process.
