The Department of Health Education has extended the application deadline for the four-year Diploma in Medical Technology and the Diploma in Medical Assistant courses. Applications can now be submitted online until July 31. There are 3,619 seats available in 23 Institutes of Health Technology (IHT) and 1,032 seats in 16 Medical Assistant Training Schools (MATS) across the country. Interested candidates must apply online by July 31.
Applicants need a minimum GPA of 2.5 in SSC or equivalent exams, with Biology, from 2020 to 2024. Candidates with 'O' level or foreign qualifications must obtain a number equalization certificate and ID code from the Director of Medical Education in Mohakhali, paying a fee of 2,000 taka. Departmental candidates should also get an ID code from the same office.
To apply, visit the application website, click on the IHT/MATS Admission button, and fill out the application form, selecting the appropriate diploma course. Choose between National Curriculum (SSC/Equivalent) or GCE (O Level/Equivalent), and provide all required information. The application fee is 700 taka, payable through a Teletalk prepaid number.
The admission test is a one-hour MCQ exam worth 100 marks, covering Bangla, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and general knowledge. The merit list will be based on test results and GPA from SSC or equivalent exams. There will be no oral exam.
Important dates include the application deadline on July 31 (11:59 PM), the fee submission deadline on August 1 (11:59 PM), admit card download from August 18-20, and the admission test on August 23 at 10 AM.
