Bangladeshi film titled 'Anyadin' directed by filmmaker Kamar Ahmad Simon which was released on social media on November 15. ‘Anyadin’ is the first Bangla film to be selected at the International Competition section of IDFA and set for the world premiere at Pathé Tuschinski in Amsterdam one of the best film festivals in the world.
IDFA’s 34th edition will showcase 264 films from 80 countries. ‘Anyadin’ a hybrid of the fiction-non-fiction genre, is one of the 14 films produced by 21 countries, including France, Russia, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Argentina, and Portugal, competing for the prestigious award of the world’s best non-fiction feature film.

The director Kamar Ahmad Simon himself has confirmed the news on social media. Kamar’s ‘Anyadin’ will compete alongside the films directed by Ukrainian filmmaker Sergei Loznitsa, Portugal’s Susana de Sousa Dias, Russia’s Aliona van der Horst in the festival lasting from November 17 to 28. Artist Mustafizur Rahman Masud has designed the poster. Poet Rahman Mofiz did the fontograph.
