An eight-member research delegation led by Associate Professor Dr. Ryo Takahashi of Japan’s Waseda University paid a courtesy call on Vice-Chancellor of Chittagong University (CU) Professor Dr. Shireen Akhtar in her office on Tuesday.
Professor of Forestry and Environmental Science Institute Dr. Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, CU College Inspector (acting) Prof. Dr. Shyamal Ranjan Chakraborty and Director of CU ICT Cell Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khairul Islam were present.
CU Vice-Chancellor briefed the research representatives about the university's academic activities and said that there is a fair and peaceful environment for education and research in this university. He invited foreign students to study in this beautiful environment.
The guests were very happy and interested to see the green campus of Chittagong University and to be informed about the fair environment of education. It is to be noted that the said delegation will jointly collect research work data with the students of CU Institute of Forestry and Environmental Science on 'Air Quality and Gender Equity' in different upazilas of Chittagong district.
Moreover, work with the students of CU Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences on various issues including education and research on the CU campus on August 23 and 24.
In the light of the MoU agreement between various Japanese universities with Chittagong University, the delegation came to Chittagong University for teaching and research work
