Another 1437 Rohingyas reach Bhasan Char

Another 1,437 Rohingyas, who volunteered in the first phase of the 12 round left Ukhia for Chittagong from the Rohingya camp at Ukhia-Teknaf in Cox's Bazar. On Wednesday (March 9), 1437 Rohingyas left from Ukhia College grounds for Bhasan Char in 26 buses in the first phase under police guard and the supervision of National Security Intelligence (NSI). 

According to sources there are more than a thousand Rohingyas preparing to leave Ukhia for Chittagong in the second phase at around 5.30 pm.

The Rohingya were accompanied by ambulances, police and other security forces vehicles.

Earlier, Rohingyas came to Ukhia College ground from different camps by the security of law enforcement forces. Many also came to the transit point on Tuesday. According to 14-APBN Commander (SP) Naimul Haque Naim, 1654 Rohingyas went to Bhasanchar in the eleventh round on 16 February and 1288 Rohingyas were shifted in the 10th round on 30 January.
