Directed by Anonno Mamun his upcoming movie titled ‘Makeup’, is based on the life story of a superstar. It had been screened by the censor board on February 9. The censor board has banned the film for allegedly misrepresenting the film industry.
On February 15, an official letter was sent to the producer-director Anonno Mamun. As a result, the movie could not be shown in any theater in the country. However, according to the rules, the producer-director of the film has the opportunity to appeal against the decision within 30 days of receiving the letter.
However, that was old news; recently we get to know that the movie is going to be released on OTT Platform I Theater on March 21 at 8 pm. Anyone from home and abroad can watch the entire movie by buying a ticket for 50 taka. That is what the producer said.
“I have tried to convince the members of the censor board member,” he said. I wanted to know, as there are other movies, which are getting censor board declaration, where is the problem with my film? They said, a heroine should be in the shadow of a superstar. Problems in such dialogues! However, such incidents are nothing new. In many cases, this happens in the film industry of many countries.
Anonno Mamun wanted to release the movie 'Makeup' in theaters. But, due to the objection of the censor board, it has to be released in OTT.
The film, produced under the banner of Celebrity Productions, stars Tariq Anam Khan, Ziaul Roshan and Nipa Ahmed Reilly in the lead roles. Besides, Saif Chandan, Kazi Ujjwal, Payal Mukherjee and Bishwanath are also playing different roles in the movie.
