Annakut festival was celebrated according to religious norms on Friday at the Iskcon Prabortak temple, Sri Krishna and Radhamadhav Mandir, Sri Sri Gaur Nitai Ashram premises organised by International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Chattogram.
Deputy Education Minister Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel was present on the occasion as the chief guest.
Nandankanan Iskcon temple general secretary Taran Nityananda Das Brahmachari presided over and Suman Chowdhury moderated the function. Nandankanan ISKCON Mandir Joint Secretary Mukunda Bhakti Das Brahmachari delivered the address of welcome.
OC Obaidul Haque of Kotwali Police Station, Vice President of Chattogram Jubo League Debashish Pa Debu, CCC Councillor Pulak Khastgir, Apurba Manohar Das Brahmachari and others spoke.
Later, prasad was distributed among the devotees.
