The much-anticipated OTT release of the Bollywood film "Animal" on Netflix has been confirmed following the settlement of a legal dispute between co-producers CINE 1 Studios and T-Series. The disagreement, revolving around alleged contractual breaches, has been resolved amicably, paving the way for the film's premiere on January 26.

Initially, CINE 1 Studios sought to delay the OTT launch, citing breaches by T-Series regarding equal ownership and specific rights outlined in their contract. Issues included unauthorized releases, undisclosed production expenses, and lack of consultation on promotional activities.

On January 22, both parties reached a settlement, which they presented to the Delhi High Court. Justice Sanjeev Narula acknowledged the agreement, setting a court revisit for January 24 to formalize the resolution.

Among CINE 1 Studios' claims was an accusation of financial misconduct by T-Series, alleging revenue withholding and failure to disclose costs. They also criticized T-Series for inadequate consultation on promotional strategies and film credits.

In response, T-Series countered by accusing CINE 1 of concealing a crucial document indicating the relinquishment of film rights for Rs 2.2 crore. CINE 1 dismissed this document as forged through their advocate.

The film's director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, confirmed that Netflix will feature an extended version of "Animal," including scenes initially cut from the theatrical release. Vanga expressed regret over these omissions and stated his intent to re-edit the film specifically for its Netflix debut.

With the legal hurdles now cleared, fans eagerly await the Netflix premiere of "Animal," anticipating a captivating cinematic experience enhanced by the inclusion of previously unseen footage.
