The Amena and Azfar Raja Chowdhury Memorial Trust fund has been increased from Tk 2 lakh to Tk 25 lakh at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
SUST Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed informed this to Bangladesh Post on Sunday (January 22). Before this, the remaining cheque of 23 lakh taka was handed over by the trust to Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed on Saturday evening.
A total of six students will be given scholarships every year from this trust fund. Each scholarship recipient will get 25 thousand taka per year. Out of this, two students from the School of Applied Sciences and Technology, two students from the School of Social Sciences and two students from the School of Physical Sciences will be nominated for the scholarship. Among them, scholarships will be given to at least 1 student from each faculty.
