The death of billionaire Ratan Tata has cast a pall of sorrow across India, touching both the business and entertainment worlds. Bollywood stars have taken to social media to express their condolences, with Amitabh Bachchan sharing a particularly heartfelt tribute.

Amitabh Bachchan, who regarded Ratan Tata as a favourite, expressed his deep sadness at the news. He wrote, "I just learned about the death of Shri Ratan Tata. His passing marks the end of an era. He was a man of great vision and determination, and I had the privilege of sharing wonderful moments with him during various campaigns. My prayers are with him."

Ratan Tata's legacy includes a Bollywood film based on his biography. The movie, titled "Aetbaar," starred Amitabh Bachchan and was produced by Tata himself, along with co-producer Jatin Kumar. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film was released in 2004 and featured actors John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. It was inspired by the 1996 American film "Fear."

Ratan Tata, aged 86, passed away on October 9 at a Mumbai hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for an illness.
