Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan on Saturday said the Constitution guarantees that all citizens of Bangladesh have the right to get justice.
“Every human being has the fundamental right to get justice. Justice seekers come to the court for getting justice. The duty of the court is to ensure fair trial for all the citizens who seek justice. Besides, all facilities should be ensured for the justice seekers,” he said.
The Chief Justice was talking to the media after inaugurating the construction work of ‘Naykunja’, a public restroom for justice seekers, near Cox’s Bazar District Judge Court in the morning. The Chief Justice mentioned necessary steps taken for quick disposal of drug cases in Cox's Bazar. Senior Justice of Supreme Court Appellate Division M Enayetur Rahim, Supreme Court and High Court Division Judges, senior officials of Supreme Court, judges of Cox's Bazar Judge Court, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and leaders of District Lawyers Association, among others, were present.
Later, the Chief Justice visited the Cox's Bazar Chief Judicial Court area.
