A prominent Awami League leader and former Member of Parliament Abdus Sobhan Miah Golap was arrested by Detective Branch (DB) officers in the capital on Sunday. The arrest took place around 2:00 PM in the Tejkunipara area.
The DB official, who requested anonymity, confirmed the arrest, citing an ongoing case against Golap. Known for his role as the former lawmaker for the Madaripur-3 constituency, Golap also serves as the publicity and publications secretary for the Awami League.
