AL holds tree plantation programme in Kishoreganj

As part of the unique initiative of the environment friendly government, a tree planting program has been taken up by Kishoreganj District Awami League. 

District Awami League president Advocate Kamrul Ahsan Shahjahan was present as the chief guest at the program on the banks of Narsunda river adjacent to Gurudayal Government College on Saturday with the slogan "Time is of nature now".

District Awami League General Secretary Advocate M.A Afzol  inaugurated the programme. The program was managed by Enayet Karim Ami, Forest and Environment Secretary of the District Awami League. 

It is learned that 14,000 plants will be planted in the district during the three-month-long program. On the occasion of inauguration of this program, 1000 plants have been planted in 13 upazilas on Saturday.

At that time Kishoreganj Municipal Mayor Md. Parvez Mia, District Mahila Awami League General Secretary Bilkis Begum, District Krishak League President Ahmad Ullah, its General Secretary Anwar Hossain Bachchu, District Chhatra League President Anwar Hossain Mollah Sumon, its General Secretary Fayez Oman Khan, Poura Krishak League President Alamgir Hossain, District Matsha League General Secretary Advocate Mosharraf Hossain Sabuj and others. Tree saplings were distributed among the students on the occasion of a three-month tree planting program.
