All seventeen posts won by Awami League backed panel Sammilito Ainjibi Somonnoy Parishad on Friday of Narayanganj Bar Association annual election for 2021 year.
The chief election commissioner Advocate Samsul Islam Bhuiya declared the result on Friday midnight. A total of 1024 voters were enrolled for franchise while 934 votes casted in the daylong election on Friday.
Two panels vied in the election-one were backed by Awami League and the other was backed by BNP named Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Parishad.
The newly elected president is Mohammad Mohshin Mia while General Secretary is Mahbubur Rahman. Two vice presidents are Biddyut Kumar Shaha and Borun Chandra Dey.
The others elected are Robiul Amin Rony (joint secretary), Moniruzzaman Kazol (Treasurer), Shawpon Bhuiyan(Entertainment), Mahmudul Haq Momin(Library), Sajjadul Haq Sumon(sports), Asadur Rahman Biplob (Literature), Israt Jahan Ina(Social welfare), Nusrat Jahan Tania(law and human rights). Five executive members are Romana Akter, Abu Taher Talukdar, Kamrul Hasan, Sirajul Haq and Shaariful Islam.
