On August 5, Bangladesh celebrated the end of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 15-year term. Unfortunately, the celebration was overshadowed by incidents of vandalism and arson, as some people used the occasion to loot and cause harm.

As Bangladesh works to recover, Adrian Claudiu Sina, the lead singer of the Romanian dance-pop group Akcent, has shown his support for the country. He shared old photos from a concert he held in Bangladesh, where he was seen proudly displaying the Bangladeshi flag.

In his post, Sina wrote, “Bangladesh, stay strong! I believe in you! More power to you all.” He praised the Bangladeshi people in the comments, calling them champions.

Many Bangladeshis responded with gratitude. One person commented, “Love from Bangladesh and the students of Bangladesh! Thank you so much for recognizing the issue and standing with us! It really means a lot to our entire country!”

Another person wrote, “Thank you, Akcent, for standing by the people of Bangladesh and congratulating us. Yes, we have finally become an independent people of a patient, strong, fair, and independent country.”

Akcent last visited Bangladesh in 2019, performing at an event at Le Meridien. During the concert, Sina expressed his love for Bangladesh and its hospitality. A memorable part of the event was when he waved the Bangladeshi flag and invited the audience to take photos.

Sina’s recent support has been a bright spot for many Bangladeshis, who appreciate the international recognition and encouragement during these challenging times.
