On Sunday, an event took place in AIUB where Obaidul Quader, Minister of Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges discussed the provisions of the Road Safety and Transport Act 2018 and its impact on the Bangladeshi people. He also highlighted in his speech the many important projects of the present Leadership of Prime Minister Hasina. Under his direction and leadership, these projects are now on-going and eventually will immensely contribute to the improvement of the economy and social life of the country.
He was present in the event as a distinguished speaker which was organized in honor of the Founder and Chairman of AIUB, Late Dr Anwarul Abedin.
Nadia Anwar, chairman of the Board of Trustees delivered a warm welcome to the distinguished speaker and to the audience as a whole. This was followed by the formal introduction of the Minister by the Vice President Academics and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, Professor Dr Charles C Villanueva who highlighted the Minister’s exemplary achievements and important strategic positions in the government service and in the Bangladesh Awami League.
After a very informative and enlightening speech by the Minister, he was presented a plaque of appreciation by Nadia Anwar, Treasurer and VP HR and Administration, Dr Hasanul A Hasan; Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Tafazzal Hossain; Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Professor Dr Tazul Islam and Professor Dr Charles C Villanueva.
