AIUB holds int’l conference on computing advancements

The American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) held its 3rd annual international conference, organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology, titled the “International Conference on Computing advancements 2020 (ICCA ’20)”.

In cooperation with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and Special Interest Group on Applied Computing (SIGAPP), the 3-day conference was inaugurated on Friday, by Professor Dr Sazzad Hossain, member of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) as the chief guest.

 On behalf of AIUB, Nadia Anwar, chairman of the Broad of Trustees, along with Dr Hasanul A Hasan, founder member; Professor Dr Tafazzal Hossain, pro vice chancellor (VC); Professor Dr ABM Siddique Hossain, dean for the Faculty of Engineering, were present on the occasion. Profesor Dr HM Zahirul Haque, VC of the University of Liberal Arts, and Professor Dr Anwar Hossain, VC of Northern University Bangladesh, also joined the event. Professor Dr Ng Giap Weng, an associate professor of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics from the Universiti Malaysia Sabah and Professor Dr Md Saiful Islam, director of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) delivered their keynote speeches focusing on the present states of different aspects of computer science.
