Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan was adorned with the rank badge of Air Chief Marshal in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday at her official residence Ganabhaban in the capital Dhaka.
He received the new rank badge from Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan at a ceremony held at the Ganabhaban.
During the event, high-ranking military and civilian officials were present, according to an ISPR media release.
A smart contingent of the Bangladesh Air Force gave a guard of honour when the Air Chief arrived at the Air Force Headquarters after being adorned with the new rank badge.
After inspecting and saluting the guards, Air Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan planted a sapling in the air base premises. After planting the saplings, he participated in the special prayer, wishing for continued peace and prosperity of the country and the nation.
