A student of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology committed suicide in Jatrabari's Dholaikhal area in the capitalfollowing a family dispute.
The deceased was identified as SM Jakaria Zamee, 24, BBA third year student of the university.
Zamee was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after 12:00noon on Thursday in an unconscious state. The hospital on-duty doctors declared him dead at about 1:30am.
Zamee's father Md Delwar Hossain said, "Zamee committed suicide by hanging himseld from a ceiling fan of his room over a family feud."
