Deputy Commissioner Fayez Ahmed distributed masks among the agro workers in Bogura urging them to abide by the health rules on Tuesday afternoon. He visited paddy harvesting at various places in Nandigram upazila in the district. During this time he inquired about the workers, distributed masks to them and advised them to follow the hygiene rules.
Deputy Director of Agricultural Extension Department of Bogura Abul Kashem Azad, Nandigram Upazila Executive Officer Sharmin Akter, Nandigram Municipal Mayor Kamrul Hasan Siddiqui Jewel, Upazila Agriculture Officer and others were present at the time. It is learned that these workers have come to Bogura from Gaibandha through the concerned Upazila Nirbahi Officers.
Bogura Deputy Commissioner Fayez Ahmed said the workers have been encouraged to work as well as adhering to hygiene rules. Those among them who did not have masks were given masks. Any kind of assistance will be provided for harvesting paddy, he added.
