With the theme ‘Agriculture is Prosperity’, the Agriculture Fair-2024 under the tuber crop development project was inaugurated at Ulipur in Kurigram on Tuesday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Ataur Rahman presided over the meeting on this occasion. The programme was organised by Upazila Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) at the Upazila Parishad Chattar on Tuesday noon.
Upazila Agricultural Officer Agriculturist Mosharraf Hossain gave the welcome speech. Upazila Parishad Chairman Sazadur Rahman Talukder Sazu spoke as the chief guest at the discussion. Upazila Parishad Woman Vice Chairman Moti Shiuli spoke as the special guest at the programme.
Among others, Ulipur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abu Bakkar Siddik, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Tarifur Rahman Sarkar, Upazila Farmer Representative Partho Sarathi Sarkar, Senior Vice-President of Upazila Awami League Saidul Haque Bachchu, Former Commander of Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad heroic Freedom Fighter Golam Mostafa and others spoke at the programme.
