The admission test for nine universities in the agriculture cluster took place on Friday, a much-anticipated event after several rescheduling efforts. Students across the country gathered at eight main centres and three sub-centres to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. Now, they find themselves anxiously waiting for the results.
The admissions committee has officially announced that the results will be released on October 30. After the results are published, there will be an online verification process, followed by initial admissions conducted in several stages. The final admission period is set between December 9 and December 12.
Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University took charge of organising this significant admission test. Khalilur Rahman, the public relations officer of the university, shared details about the process, reassuring students about the upcoming timeline.
This year, the agriculture cluster is offering a total of 3,718 seats across nine universities. The competition is fierce, with 75,017 applicants vying for a spot, translating to nearly 20 candidates for each available seat.
Here’s how the seats are distributed among the universities:
1. Bangladesh Agricultural University has 1,116 seats.
2. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University offers 435 seats.
3. Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University has 698 seats.
4. Patuakhali Science and Technology University has 448 seats.
5. Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University offers 270 seats.
6. Sylhet Agricultural University has 431 seats.
7. Khulna Agricultural University has 150 seats.
8. Habiganj Agricultural University offers 90 seats.
9. Kurigram Agricultural University rounds out the list with 80 seats.
