Admission to colleges begins

Published : 26 May 2024 09:31 PM

The online application process for Class XI admissions for the academic year 2024-2025 began yesterday and will continue until June 11. The system is divided into three phases, each with specific application windows, result announcements, and confirmation periods.

Students can apply online at xiclassadmission.gov.bd, with an application fee of Tk150, payable via mobile banking, debit, or credit cards. Applicants can select between five and ten preferred colleges during this process. There are approximately 25 lakh college seats available nationwide, significantly more than the 16,72,153 students who passed the recent SSC examinations.

However, securing a seat in the top 200-250 colleges will be challenging due to their limited capacity of about 1 lakh seats, making competition intense.

The education board has also set session fee guidelines based on the institution's location and Management Payment Order (MPO) status. Fees range from Tk1,500 for upazila or rural area institutions to Tk5,000 for MPO institutions in the Dhaka metropolitan area, covering both Bangla and English versions.

Students are advised to visit the official website for a comprehensive application guide and to keep up-to-date with the latest information on the admission process.

The website, xiclassadmission.gov.bd, provides all necessary details to ensure a smooth application experience.

The admission process is crucial for students aiming to secure a place in their desired colleges, and early application is recommended to avoid last-minute issues.
