Adinath Observation Tower is going to be set up on top of the Mainak Mountain of Adinath Temple, the traditional pilgrimage of the followers of Hindu religion at Moheshkhali of Cox's Bazar. The Observation Tower will play a positive role in flourishing tourism in the region, opined concerned officials of District Administration in Cox's Bazar.
According to sources, Adinath Temple is a historical pilgrimage for the devotees of the Hindu religion of South Asia where people from various parts of the country and from various countries of the world thronged to offer their rituals. With those devotees, many tourists also visit the Temple and the panoramic scenery of the surrounding areas of the mountains. Beside the temple, the longest jetty of the region is also situated with the enchanting natural scenery of the mangrove forest with its wildlife.
Kamal Hossain, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Cox's Bazar informed, the step has been taken to set up Adinath Observation Tower on top of the Mainak mountain to flourish tourism and to assist the devotees to watch surrounding areas of the Adinath Temple clearly. Upazila Administration with assistance from the district administration will build the tower.
Deputy Commissioner Kamal Hossain laid the foundation stone of the Observation Tower at the Adinath Temple premises on Wednesday morning. Among others, Moheshkhali Upazila Chairman Sharif Badsha, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Cox's Bazar Masudur Rahman Mollah were present during the laying of the foundation of the tower.
Moheshkhali Upazila Chairman Sharif Badsha informed, the Observation Tower will help increase the number of tourists at Moheshkhali.
Babul Sharma, General Secretary of Cox's Bazar district Puja Udjapon Committee informed with the construction of the tower, the significance of Adinath Temple will be increased further.
