Adamjee Cantonment Public School and Mirpur Cantonment Public College became champions in a three-day Inter-Cantonment Public School and College Debate Competition respectively. The grand Finale of the competition was held at the auditorium of Adamjee Cantonment Public School. Adamjee Cantonment Public School Governing Body Chairman Brig Gen Mostafizur Rahman was present as Chief Guest at the programme.
Debate for Democracy Chairman Mr Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiran conducted the final debate as speaker. School Principal Lt. Col Mohammad Masud Rana delivered the welcome speech. In the competition, Mirpur Cantonment Public School and Shaheed Bir Uttam Lt. Anwar Girls’ School became runners-up. Iftisham Taskin Mugdha and Arafat Islam Rifat were judged the best debaters from School and College branch respectively.
Brig. Gen. Mostafizur Rahman said the debaters can reflect their thinking in the mirror of arguments through this process. Debate teaches people how to speak on difficult issues. Mej Gen Mohammad Saiful Islam, CPD Joint Director Abhra Bhattyacharjee, Agriculture Official Falguni Majumdar were present as judges of the competition. Trophies, crests and certificates were distributed among the winners.
