Actor Tahsan and Mim buy burnt dress with higher price

In aid of fire victims, humanitarian organisation named “Bidyanondo Foundation” through its Facebook page is selling the burnt clothes. The foundation in a post confirmed that popular singer and actor Tahsan Khan and famous Bangladeshi actress Mim bought dresses with higher prices than the usual.

Tahsan Khan has bought a lungi burnt in the devastating fire at Bangabazar at Tk 1 lakh responding to a call from Ekushey Padak winning organisation Bidyanondo Foundation while Mim bought dresses with 100 times higher prices. 

The foundation shared the information on Wednesday through a facebook post on their page.

The post reads, "Popular artiste Tahsan has bought a burnt lungi for one lakh taka. The money is being delivered to the affected traders. Many celebrities are requesting Bidyanondo, everyone wants to keep some clothes burnt in the fire." 

“Mim touched the dress with great love and emotion and paid the price through bank cheque” Bidyanondo shared another post on Facebook. 

The organisation further said the initiative is too small to offset the damage caused to the businessmen in Bangabazar , but it tried to attract sensible people in the society towards to the charity. Bidyanondo requested people interested in buying burnt dress to make a contact with them through the Facebook page.

 Earlier, on Tuesday, a devastating fire broke out at Bangabazar market around 6:10 am which gutted thousands of shops and injured at least 12 people. 

The massive fire broke out in Bangabazar market rendering most of the products ashes and partially burning many clothes.

The businessmen have turned pauper with huge investment ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr going in vain.
