Access Bangladesh Foundation, in collaboration with APNIC Foundation and the Information Society Innovation Fund (ISIF Asia), organized a two-day capacity-building residential training program for women entrepreneurs with disabilities on digital entrepreneurship.
The training, held from August 24th to 25th, equipped 24 women entrepreneurs from 8 districts across 5 divisions—Mymensingh, Khulna, Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Dhaka—with essential skills to succeed in the e-commerce space.
The program, inaugurated by Albert Mollah, Co-founder and Executive Director of Access Bangladesh Foundation, aimed to address the significant challenges faced by women entrepreneurs with disabilities.
Mollah emphasized that digital platforms offer a smart solution to overcoming barriers such as product sales, networking, financial management, and digital literacy, allowing these entrepreneurs to operate businesses from home and access a broader customer base.
Participants received comprehensive training in various critical areas, including entrepreneurship, small enterprise management, effective use of online platforms, product photography, legal business management, marketing, online banking, and social media strategies.
The training also featured a detailed presentation by a representative from WE (Women and e-Commerce Ltd.) on engaging with their e-commerce platform, alongside sessions on government facilities available to women entrepreneurs with disabilities.
The program concluded with a closing ceremony where Mohua Paul, Chairperson of Access Bangladesh Foundation, expressed her gratitude and distributed certificates to all participants.
