Chairman of Bangladesh Accreditation Council Professor Mesbahuddin Ahmed said,

Sustainable development is the much hyped issue in the world today.  It is more important for developing countries like Bangladesh.  Because our natural resources are insufficient compared to demand.  Our universities and researchers have to work in these fields for a beautiful future generation.  Bangladesh has great potential in blue-economy.  Through research, we will be able to contribute directly to the progress of our country.”

He said these while addressing as a chief guest at the opening ceremony of the international conference titled '5th International Conference on Physics for Sustainable Development & Technology; ICPSDT-2023'.  CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was the guest of honour in the event.  Dean of Engineering and Technology Faculty Prof. Dr. Sunil Dhar was the special guest.

The program was presided over by Conference Chair and Head of Department of Physics Professor Dr. Swapan Kumar Roy.  Welcome speech was given by Conference Secretary and Professor of Physics Department Dr. Md.
