Capital market expert professor Abu Ahmed has been appointed as the chairman of the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB).
He has been given this responsibility for the next three years. This information was informed in a notification issued by the Financial Institutions Department of the Ministry of Finance on Thursday.
According to the notification, according to Section 7(1) (a) of the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh Act, 2014, Professor Abu Ahmed has been appointed as the Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ICB. He is a former professor of economics department of Dhaka University.
Earlier, Suborna Barua resigned as the chairman of ICB last Tuesday.
He submitted his resignation citing personal reasons as being unable to perform his duties.
