About 60 people from different walks of life, including children, have been critically ill and are being treated in the hospital after eating a variety of food including lachchasemai, burgers and pizza made by Naogaon's traditional Arambagh confectionery.

Everyone is suffering from abdominal pain and diarrhea. Again, the condition of many is alarming. Besides, many people are being admitted to the hospital every moment. Doctors said that this was due to food poisoning.

Several patients admitted to the hospital and their relatives said that on the eve of Eid, all the sick people bought fried lachcha, semai, burgers and pizza from Arambagh Confectionery for their families. After that, some time after eating those food products, severe pain started in the stomach. After the thin toilet. After that, when the situation gradually got worse, everyone had to be admitted to Naogaon Sadar Hospital starting from Eid day.

Even after being admitted to the hospital for treatment, the condition of many is still very critical. The condition of some children as well as adults is critical. Many are not working even after taking medicine. Seriously ill people are kept in the hospital bed with saline.

The patients and their relatives also said that many of these patients are being intimidated and greedy by different people visiting Arambagh Confectionery shop and not telling this to anyone. The patients also said that the hospital is providing good treatment to the patients suffering from food poisoning. Many of the victims are also receiving treatment in private clinics.

Arambagh Confectionery, located at in the city, has been locked since the incident. Due to which it was not possible to take the statement of any spokesperson related to Arambagh Confectionery.

Naogaon Sadar Hospital caretaker said. Zahid Nazrul Chowdhury said that all those who ate Arambagh Confectionery food are seriously ill and are undergoing treatment at the hospital. Many of my relatives have fallen ill and are being treated at the hospital. Six members of a family, including a child, are also being treated at the hospital for severe abdominal pain and diarrhea after eating Arambagh pizza. However, so far no patient has been referred. On behalf of the hospital we are trying our best to provide medical treatment.

He added that these people have fallen ill mainly due to food poisoning. Maybe those food products are made with low quality expired ingredients or they have expired which has caused poisoning from those foods. It will take time for these patients to fully recover. In addition, the people of Naogaon city and its environs who used to eat those food products are getting sick and hospitalized.
