The mood of festival prevails in Raozan upazila of Chattogram centring the 12th Jatiya Sangsad polls. ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Awami League candidate for Chattogram-6 constituency, started his campaign including addressing wayside meetings across the Upazila. Each road meeting is turning a public meeting with the presence of a huge gathering.
From the morning to afternoon on Wednesday, Fazle Karim Chowdhury participated in 8 separate road meetings in 9 wards of the municipality and exchanged views with the people.
He started his election campaign from Ward No. 1 of the municipality by paying tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and visiting the graves of late ‘murubbis’.
Meanwhile, thousands of people raised their hands and promised to announce the victory first from Raozan by ensuring the victory of Boat in the National Assembly elections to be held on January 7.
He took part in campaigning as part of the electoral campaign in Raozan Municipality in the morning and in several places of Pahartali Union in the afternoon. He addressed a public meeting there.
Raozan Upazila Chairman Ehechanul Haidar Chowdhury, Awami League leader Kazi Abdul Wahab, Municipal Mayor and Upazila Jubo League President Zamir Uddin Parvez, Women Leader Diluara Yusuf, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Kofiul Uddin Chowdhury, Pahartali Union Chairman Md. Rokan Uddin, delivered the addresses of welcome in these meetings.
Jubo League leader Suman Dey, Md Jahangir Alam, Abu Zafar Rashed, Jubo League leader Ahsan Habib Chowdhury Hasan, Jubo League leader Tapan Dey, Abu Salek, General Secretary of Dakshin Raujan Chhatra League Md Salauddin, leaders of Ward Awami League and dignitaries spoke.
