Online training course: Bangladesh e-Government ERP Project of BCC, ICT Division
A three-day online user training course on procurement module under the `e-Government ERP Project’ was ended today. Including Additional Secretary and PD of Info Sarkar-3 project Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, and Joint Secretary and AMD A. N. M Sofiqul Islam total twenty trainees from 10 stakeholders of the project (Planning Division, Planning Commission, NAPD, BIDS, ICT Division, DOICT, CCA, Bangladesh Hi-tech Park Authority, A2i and BCC) took part in the training course. The training was conducted by Md. Asef Rana and Khandaker Aminul Islam of coKreates IT Ltd. The course was directed by Dr. Ashoke Kumer Roy, Project Director, Bangladesh e-Government ERP Project.
The training course was inaugurated by N M Zeaul Alam PAA, Senior Secretary of ICT Division as Chief Guest. Mr. Parthoprotim Deb, Executive Director, Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) was in the Chair. The chief guest requested the trainees to learn more about the procurement module and use it for providing better services. For automation and transparency of government business process all of ERP modules including Procurement Module will play a vital role, he said.
Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Parthapratim Deb as chairperson judged the perception of the participation and satisfied with very good participation. He also said that procurement module will be integrated with existing e-GP system, and thus total Government procurement of Bangladesh will be automated.
Professors, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Dr. Monirul Islam, Dr Sohrab Hossain and Dr. Shamsuzzoha Bayezid monitored the training activities. Sysnesis IT Ltd. and GRP team including the consultants were present in the training session and helped in feedback processes.
