Bangladesh ‘A’ cricket team is likely to leave Dhaka for Islamabad today to played their scheduled two four-day matches and three limited overs matches.
National cricket team also scheduled to tour Pakistan this month to play two Test maches followed by the A team’s rosters.
However, Bangladesh ‘A’ team will begin their campaign on August with their first four-day match in Islamabad against their Pakistan counterparts with Enamul Haque Bijpy will lead the team. The team (A team) will leave Islamabad for Rawalpondi after playing their first match tour match where four members of the Bangaldeesh nationa team, who are with the ‘A’, will join with them on August 17. Bangaldesh national team is expected to leave the country by August 16-17 when their two-match Test series will start from August 21, which is part of the ICC Test Championship.
The first Test of the series is slated to take place from August 21-25 in Rawalpindi and Karachi will host the second Test from August 30 to September 3.
But the team for the Pakistan series is yet to be announced when a probable contingent of players were set to begin skill training under head coach Chandika Hathurusingha and other coaching staff, which was cancelled for the present situations.
Meanwhile, the preparations of Bangladesh national team for the upcoming two-match series against Pakistan suffered a blow as their training sessions were disrupted due to ongoing political crisis in the country.
BCB officials are not sure when they can announce the date of the next practice session for the national sides.
