Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) seized 90,000 pieces of yaba tablets from a boat after conducting drives at Jalia and Sonarchar islands of Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar in the early hours on Saturday. On information, Teknaf BCG Station conducted the drives at the areas and the seized the yaba tables, says a press release.
However, after sensing the presence of BCG members, the smugglers fled the scene leaving behind the yaba tablets as well as the boat. So, the BCG members failed to detain any smuggler. The seized yaba tablets were handed over to Teknaf Police Station.
