Police have set up 85 beat police offices in Jhenaidah district. Superintendent of Police (SP) in Jhenaidah Hasanuzzaman inaugurated the offices at a function at Beparipara in Jhenaidah municipality on Sunday.
On the 85 beat policing offices, 20 were set up in Jhenaidah Sadar upazil, while three were installed in Jhenaidah municipality area. All the six upazilas came under the activities. A sub inspector (SI), an assistant sub inspector (ASI) and three constables will provide services at every beat policing office.
Hasanuzzaman said that the policemen as guided by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have been trying to serve the people at their respective area. It will reduce the rush in the police stations as well as sufferings of the people day by day. He warned that negligence in duty would not be entertained any way.
Additional superintendent of police in Jhenaidah Sadar circle Abul Bashar, all the assistant superintendents (ASPs), officer in charge (OCs) of all six police stations, all the ward councilors of Jhenidah municipality including Tofazzel Hossain among others were present during the inaugural session.
