7th Nat’l Earth, Space Summit begins at NDC on May 16

The 7th National Earth and Space Summit is going to be held on May 16-18 at Notre Dame College (NDC) campus located at Motijheel in Dhaka. The festival includes various Olympiads, quizzes and creative writing competitions, astral hunts, quizzes, presentation and project exhibition team competitions and so on. The event will include craftwork for the little ones, in which students from nursery to fifth grade can participate. Students from 6th to 12th standard can participate in Olympiads.

According to the organizers, the total of 27 competitions will include Earth Science Olympiad, Biology Olympiad, Astronomy Olympiad, Climate Science Olympiad. Besides, quiz events will include Eco and Space Buzz, One Shot One Kill and Astro Movie Quiz.

Other team competitions include the Astral Hunt, which is a treasure hunt type competition. Where a team solves puzzles and finds secret coupons hidden on the campus of Notre Dame College to reveal a constellation. Moreover, there will be power point presentation where research on astronomy and various systems of the earth will be presented in the form of slides.

And at the end of the day, there will be a rocket engine test program, where there will be an opportunity to see the hybrid rocket engine test. There will give certificates, special gifts and more for the participants. There are campus ambassadors and club partners in various schools in Dhaka and outside for registration.

Organizers said that about 100 schools and colleges from Dhaka and beyond (outside Dhaka) will participate in this space summit organized by Notre Dame Eco and Space Club.
