A total of 78.43 percent students passed this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations in Dinajpur board. 18 thousand 105 students bagged GPA 5 in the board. In Dinajpur, this year's SSC and equivalent examinations have an average pass rate of 78.43%, which is an improvement from last year's rate of 76.87%. Last year, some 17,410 students got GPA 5.
Pass rate for female students is higher than the male students. The pass rate of female students is 81.07% while the pass rate of male students is 75.85%. The results of SSC and equivalent examinations of 2024 were published on Sunday.
According to Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Dinajpur, a total of 2 lakh 444 examinees were about to take part in the SSC and equivalent examinations under Dinajpur board this year. However, 1 lakh 98 thousand 184 students took part in the examination. Among them, 1 lakh 55 thousand 435 passed in the exams. The average pass rate is 78.43% and a total of 18 thousand 105 students bagged GPA 5 in the board. 42 thousand 749 students could not succeed in the SSC examinations this year. Besides, 2260 students were absent in the exams and 66 students were expelled.
Moreover, the female students outshined the male students with pass rate and number of GPA 5. 9246 female students got GPA 5 while 8859 male students got GPA 5 this year in Dinajpur.
A total of 77 schools experienced 100 percent pass rate this year. Last year the number was 80.
