Thousands of people are being benefitted from the call centre facilities in the district, informed Hamidul Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi at a press conference held at his conference room on Wednesday noon.
Deputy Commissioner Hamidul Islam further informed, only in Rajshahi 73, 287 calls were received through the call centres during last one year. 70 percent of those calls involved resisting of early marriage or child marriage. He further said, despite information service, the call centre was also used to solve various social problems. Despite using the service of call centres( By calling to 333), a person can request for help to stop child marriage, resisting adulteration of food or such crimes and even hiring of any hotel room. The call centre is being used to render various civic services as well.
Hamidul Haque said, to build a digital Bangladesh and to reach the services to the footsteps of people, the government has introduced call centres. By dialling number 333, anyone can receive the services of the call centres from anywhere in the country. He requested to spread the service initiative of the government and the number 333 among all in the country. He added, anyone, by using the number, would be able to send a complaint against any official or would inform about any social problem.
He informed, after introduction of the service of call number 333, so far 73,287 calls were made and received from Rajshahi district of which 64,922 calls were made by males and 8,365 calls were made by females.
