7 held in Jhenaidah for trespassing into India

Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) has detained seven Bangladeshi nationals including five women and a child when they were allegedly entering into India through Moheshpur frontier of Jhenidah on Thursday

BGB 58 (Khalishpur) battalion assistant director Nazrul Islam Khan said the seven were detained from a field at Nepa, near the border pillar of 61/105 R.

The detained were identified as Chayan Biswas, 20, and Priyanka Biswas, 18, both children of Haren Biswas, Priyanka’s daughter Rimu Biswas, 3,  Harendra Biswas’s wife Runu Biswas, 35, of village Barodomrashul, Minati Biswas, 30, daughter of Ananta Biswas of village Satpara, Namita Roy, 32, wife of Parimal Roy of village Tilpara in Gopaganj and Sumi Akter, 25, wife of Yakub Ali of Nalbunia of Sarankhola of Bagerhat.

The BGB sources said the border guards had detained them when they failed to produce any paper following their move towards neighboring India.
