Decision has been taken to give monthly payment order (MPO) facilities to newly-appointed 6513 teachers- employees in different private schools and colleges.
At the same time, the MPO committee of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has decided to give higher scale to 10037 teachers and employees and B.Ed scale to 218 school teachers, confirmed the sources of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education.
Officials said that among the 4,302 teachers and staff of the school, there are 322 from Barisal region, 650 from Chittagong, 405 from Cumilla, 400 from Dhaka, 938 from Khulna, 399 from Mymensingh, 477 from Rajshahi, 445 from Rangpur and 266 from Sylhet.
On the other hand, among the 2211 teachers and staff of the college, there are 272 from Barisal region, 135 from Chittagong, 194 from Cumilla, 196 from Dhaka, 360 from Khulna, 489 from Mymensingh, 156 from Rajshahi, 272 from Rangpur and 137 from Sylhet region.
In the past few months, heads of institutions and employees who have been appointed as per the rules can also apply online for MPO membership. The MPO committee has decided to enroll these teachers-employees in the MPO after settling the application of May.
The MPO committee has decided to give higher grades to 10037 teachers and employees of various private schools and colleges. Among them there are 9304 school and 733 college teachers.
