In the last 11 days, after passing one step after another, 65 youths have successfully got jobs as police constables in Noakhali after spending only Tk 100.
About 2,600 candidates applied for the current appointment in the district. Later, 328 people who passed the physical examination participated in the written examination. Out of them 108 students participated in the viva-voce and 65 were finally selected for appointment.
On Saturday at 12 noon, the district police greeted the new recruits in the police lines with flowers. Noakhali Superintendent of Police Md Shahidul Islam welcomed them.
The names of those who passed all the exams were announced on Friday night. The district superintendent of police said that after a long wait, the names of 65 people were announced and the employees and their guardians became emotional. They have passed various stages of the test for the last 11 days and have succeeded.
All the candidates were subjected to all the difficult physical examinations at the field level for 3 days of verification and selection. They have passed their qualification by depositing only Tk 100. Eleven more people have been kept in the waiting list.
In addition to the Noakhali Superintendent of Police, the appointment committee also included Laxmipur Additional Superintendent of Police Mangnethoai Marma, Feni Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Rabiul Islam, Noakhali Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Crime) Deepak Jyoti Khisa and (Headquarters) Khaled Ibn Malek.
