The Bangladesh Open University (BOU) has officially announced the results for the SSC 2024 exams for 1st and 2nd year students, revealing a pass rate of 62.58 percent.
This information was shared in a press release by BOU on Sunday. Prof. Dr. Sabina Yasmin, Dean and Controller of Examinations (Addl Duties), presented the results to the Vice Chancellor of the university, Dr. Syed Humayun Akhtar, in an official ceremony.
The total number of students registered for the SSC 2024 exams was 33,401. Among them, 31,811 students appeared for the exams, spanning both 1st and 2nd year. Specifically, 12,460 students participated in the final examinations, with 7,797 successfully passing.
The breakdown of grades among the passed students is as follows: 5 students achieved A+ grade, 704 students secured A grade, 2,138 students received A- grade, 2,722 students earned B- grade, 2,161 students obtained C grade, and 67 students received D grade.
The results were handed over during a ceremony, attended by Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Mahbooba Nasreen and Registrar Dr. Maha Shafiqul Alam. Vice Chancellor Dr. Syed Humayun Akhtar expressed his satisfaction with the results and praised the efforts of both students and faculty.
"This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and the unwavering support from our educators," he said.
